MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
Allies: Rory has relatively few allies and he prefers it that way.
Enemies: Chiefly the Sorrowkeepers, because they represent an even worse tradition than the Peacekeeper faction of the Angelic beings. Sorrowkeepers are mostly fallen angels who usually do not care for peace between humans and angels. They are collecting and using the Shade Treasures for their own purposes. Unfortunately for the few Sorrowkeepers that respect and do not seek to upset the balance, some Peacekeepers do not distinguish between them, and thus become targets.Rory will spare the ones that believes can be reformed; however, generally he will eliminate them if they get in his way.
Current Goal/Purpose: Stay low and hidden away from the Sorrowkeeper and the Peacekeepers.
Aspirations: Find away to bring the spirit of his beloved back to him, though he knows that this is most likely impossible, you can only cheat death so often.
Hobbies: Rory spends a lot of time staring out at the world around him. Rory loves to initiate new projects (a Peacekeeper once informed him that he'd make excellent researcher) and had an urge to understand conceptions that are new to him. He thinks rapidly, is intuitive and often original, but is better at adapting than inventing. Rory has extensive notes on the world of humans and is probably one of the few of his race that are actually interested in the "Shades" daily lives. Rory loves music but isn't very good at playing any. He also likes to race horses.
Likes: Traveling, getting to the heart of the matter, freedom, the general 'feel' of things.
Dislikes: Off the wall theories, being tied down domestically, Being constrained, cooling your heels, bothered with details.
Talents: Rory has both a profound and widely ranging mind, equipped with foresight and good judgement, and he can be a witty conversationalist. His main power comes from the ability to read Dreams because he is a Dreamkeeper. Dreamkeepers were angels that stayed neutral during the long ago war. They appear somewhat distant and avoid contact with either parties and even go as far as hiding in with humans. They have the rare powers to read dreams and determine what they mean, making them prophets. He dabbles in some forms of magic, but mostly involves the usage of sending his foes nightmares.
Inabilities: The vices to which Rory is prone is the anger that tends to flare up over trifles; Rory can be very impatience - he wants to rush every new project through immediately and demands too much of colleagues who cannot work at the pace he requires; and scorn of the inadequacies of others while expecting fulsome recognition of his own efforts.
Fears: Losing someone he loves again.
General Personality: Rory is a trickster, above all else. He maintains a constant level of dualism and is often considered a kindly man. Is a known womanizer from time to time. Rory is a fairly laid back man when not presenting himself in front of others. He lives for excitement, exploring the unknown, and unpredictability of the future. Rory follows his own whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom, he avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. However, Rory does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). Except for sarcastic wit and put-down jokes, he lacks a sense of humor, and almost never laughs at himself. He has have “two faces” - one that smiles when others are helping to further his own agenda, and another that turns cold when others can no longer support his goals.

Just the two of them. Rory always dwelled on this particular scene in his head. Maybe it was because he wasn't really that aware of his surroundings at the time, or it was one of the rare times, he actually focused on the small details....

HISTORIC BACKGROUND
General History: Rory's origins are unknown and remain that way to this day. It is known that he traveled with a woman named Enyo and her friend Jessica. That this time, he was rather sickly and often needed the help of Enyo to get around. This all changed, once he realized that she saw some great potential in him. However, a war broke out between the Sorrowkeepers and the Peacekeeper factions. This was caused when Queen Geneva stepped down when she refused to be a part of two very stubborn political systems after seeing both sides get slaughtered. This caused a gulf in power and small scale conflicts broke out. Rory and Enyo had chosen not to get involved with the affair. However, this did not stop a raid by some Sorrowkeepers, resulting in the death of Enyo. Rory by this point demanded revenge and became a partisan. While he did not gain a big political movement, he was successful enough to drive the main foes away. After the conflict ended, Rory was approached by the Peacekeepers to be a member of their clan, he refused.
Present Life: Rory has spent much of his time alone. He has moved from town to town, helping humans he sees having great potential. Rory has also dedicated his time to protecting humans from random raids by the Sorrowkeepers.
